Dutch duo Stam/Schoon wins European Beach Volleyball title in Stare Jabłonki

Katja Stam and Raisa Schoon of the Netherlands claimed the European Beach Volleyball Championship gold, defeating Spain's Izuzquiza/Moreno Matveeva 2:0 in the final. The event was held in Stare Jabłonki, Poland — the first-ever European Championship on Polish sand. The Dutch pair also secured an Olympic Games qualification spot. Latvia's Graudina/Samoilova took the bronze medal.
