Hydrological drought covers 70% of Poland — 630 municipalities impose water restrictions

Hydrological drought now affects around 70% of Poland, according to Mateusz Balcerowicz, head of Polish Waters (Wody Polskie). This year, approximately 630 municipalities have introduced various water-use restrictions. Balcerowicz warned that while there is no immediate shortage, action is needed to prevent a serious water deficit in the future.
