Jewish visitors allowed to bring prayer books onto Temple Mount for the first time

For the first time, Israeli authorities permitted Jewish visitors to bring prayer books to the top of the Temple Mount in Jerusalem on Sunday morning, according to the Times of Israel. The move was described as "a first attempt to make sure the Middle East doesn't go crazy" given the enormous tensions surrounding the holy site.
