Wildberries warehouse fire 40 km from Kremlin disrupts Russian retail and fuels inflation
A fire has broken out at the second-largest warehouse of Wildberries, Russia's Amazon equivalent, located about 40 km from the Kremlin and covering over 200,000 sq m. The strike is part of Ukraine's ongoing campaign targeting Russian infrastructure and the labour market. Oxford economist Prof. Michael Rochlitz warns that delivery disruptions in regions dependent on Wildberries are pushing up prices and fuelling inflation.
