Taliban marks five years since retaking power in Afghanistan

Hundreds of Taliban supporters gathered outside the former US embassy in Kabul to mark the fifth anniversary of the group's return to power. Military helicopters dropped flowers over the crowd. Critics of the Taliban, however, warn of worsening human rights abuses since the movement retook control.
