US revokes over 600 visas in crackdown on birth tourism

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced the creation of a special State Department task force to combat so-called birth tourism — the practice of travelling to the US solely to give birth and obtain citizenship for a child. Within one month of the task force's creation, more than 600 visas were revoked, according to Newsweek.
