James Webb Space Telescope finds evidence of a black hole star
Astronomers using the James Webb Space Telescope have observed an object that lends credence to the existence of so-called black hole stars — exotic objects theorised as an explanation for mysterious red spots observed in the early universe. A black hole star would have a black hole at its core instead of nuclear fusion reactions. The discovery could reshape understanding of stellar formation in the early cosmos.
