Row over prosecutor promotions — Żurek demands open competitions, prosecutors accuse him of confrontation

Deputy Prosecutor General Michał Żurek is demanding that prosecutorial promotions be filled through open competitions, leaving posts vacant in the meantime. Experienced prosecutors accuse him of deliberately keeping positions empty for successors to fill after the elections. Prosecutors say there is constant confrontation instead of cooperation.
