Succès Masra, Chadian opposition leader and former Prime Minister who challenged President Mahamat Idriss Déby in the 2024 presidential election, was jailed for over a year after being sentenced to 20 years in 2025. Pardoned by Déby on August 14, he spoke to France 24 about Chad's political situation and his future plans.
