EU exports to the US down nearly 20% — trade surplus halved

EU goods exports to the United States fell 19.8% to €246.196 billion between January and June, according to Eurostat data cited by Spanish economic daily Expansión. The EU's trade surplus with the US has been cut in half. China is among the beneficiaries of the drop in European exports.
