France's under-15 social media ban struck down as unconstitutional

France's Constitutional Council has blocked a law banning social media use for children under 15, ruling it unconstitutional. The court found the blanket ban infringed on the fundamental freedom of expression and access to information. Senior attorney Peter Craddock, who advises social media companies, said the decision was unsurprising, as the law failed to account for differences between platforms or children's maturity levels.
