Summer ends in Poland: 40 mm of rain and storms forecast within days

Poland is bracing for a dramatic weather turnaround as the sunny, hot summer gives way to cooler temperatures, heavy rainfall and thunderstorms. Locally, up to 40 mm of rain is expected to fall within just a few days — roughly what normally comes over most of August. The change marks one of the sharpest weather breaks in recent weeks.
