Record wildfire in Belgium — EU scrambles aircraft, hundreds evacuated

Belgium was hit by one of its worst-ever wildfires, with the blaze scorching more than 2,700 hectares of land. Hundreds of villagers were ordered to evacuate, and the EU scrambled helicopters and water bombers to assist firefighters. The fire broke out late on Saturday.
