Polish archaeologist uncovers intact 1,200-year-old Wari royal tomb in Peru

Polish professor Miłosz Giersz has discovered an intact royal tomb of the Wari Empire in Peru, dating back approximately 1,200 years. Speaking to Onet, he contrasted real-world archaeology with Hollywood depictions, saying Indiana Jones's methods today would cost an archaeologist their university job and likely attract prosecutors. The find is expected to shed new light on the pre-Columbian Wari civilisation.
