When can a bank raise account and card fees? Polish law requires advance notice
A bank can raise fees for a personal account, debit card or transfers, but only if the contract explicitly allows for such changes. Polish regulations require the bank to notify customers in advance before any fee increases take effect, giving clients time to respond — including cancelling their agreement. Changes cannot be made arbitrarily or without prior warning.
