Wałęsa on ex-presidents' pension hike: "I'd be ashamed to demand it"

Lech Wałęsa, asked by the tabloid "Fakt" about a planned increase in pensions for former presidents, said he would be ashamed to demand it while fellow electricians earn so little. He added that as long as he has the strength and health, he will supplement his income by working for "Western capitalists." The former president thus distanced himself from the proposed raise.
