Polish energy minister rejects JSW's claim for 1.6 billion zloty solidarity levy refund

Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa (JSW), Poland's major coking coal producer, applied to the energy minister for a refund of approximately 1.6 billion zloty overpaid in solidarity levies in 2023 and 2024. The energy minister rejected the claim and refused to order a refund. JSW is expected to pursue further action in the matter.
