Europe's tallest statue of Mary consecrated in Konotopa — Lech Wałęsa among guests

A 55-metre statue of Our Lady of Mercy in Konotopa has been consecrated, making it the tallest statue of the Virgin Mary in Europe. The ceremony was led by Bishop Krzysztof Wętkowski, the ordinary of the Diocese of Włocławek. Former Polish President Lech Wałęsa was among the guests attending the event.
