40 migrants stranded at sea off France during Channel crossing attempt

Around 140 migrants attempted a Channel crossing from France to the United Kingdom aboard a taxi-boat. About 40 of them became stranded by the tide while waiting to board off the French coast. French rescue services launched an operation to bring them to safety.
