France's heatwaves could cost economy up to €15 billion this year

French minister for ecological transformation Monique Barbut announced that the direct and indirect costs of this year's heatwaves in France could reach between €10 and €15 billion, citing estimates from the national statistics office INSEE. The figure covers both economic losses and health and social costs.
