Chinese sensor measuring 20×20 µm could track submarines from a smartwatch

Chinese researchers have published details in Physical Review Letters of a sensor with an active area of just 20×20 micrometres that is highly resistant to noise interference that increases with ocean depth. The device is small enough to fit inside a smartwatch. Its potential applications include tracking submarines deep underwater.
