Żodzik competed at European Championships despite back injury sustained at Diamond League

Polish athlete Maria Żodzik competed at this year's European Athletics Championships in Birmingham despite having sustained a back injury at a Diamond League meeting in mid-July. TVP Sport released footage of the accident on 15 August, showing how the injury occurred. The injury was described as looking severe.
