Europe drafts its own format for Russia-Ukraine peace talks

French, German and British diplomats are working on a framework for future Russia-Ukraine peace negotiations, driven by concern that Donald Trump may cut a deal without consulting European allies. Russia has shown little interest in such talks so far. European governments are pushing to secure a seat at the table before any Washington-led agreement takes shape.
