Poland's 4x100m men's relay squeezes into European Championship final by one hundredth of a second
Poland's men's 4x100m relay qualified for the European Championship final in Birmingham with a time of 39.17 seconds, identical to Greece's. Two thousandths of a second gave Greece third place, forcing Poland to wait for the second heat results before confirming qualification by just one hundredth. Dominik Kopeć ran the anchor leg, overtaking the Turkish runner and almost catching the Greek, saving Poland's spot. The women's relay also advanced comfortably with 42.63 seconds, just 0.02 seconds off the Polish record.
