Sułek-Schubert throws javelin 15 metres further than rivals, back in medal contention

After a below-par long jump that dropped her to fifth place in the heptathlon, Adrianna Sułek-Schubert responded with a javelin throw more than 15 metres further than her rivals, putting her back in medal contention. The athlete from Bydgoszcz recorded a valid jump in the long jump to avoid disqualification. One event still remains.
