Military parade can't mask Poland's army readiness problems
Commentator Maciej Miłosz warns that Poland's impressive military parade — featuring modern self-propelled howitzers, gleaming tanks and air and naval displays — should not distract from serious structural shortcomings. Poland still lacks an effective reserve training system, a functional command-and-control structure, and its defence industrial base is still being built. He calls for a serious public debate on combat readiness rather than satisfaction with the spectacle.
