Frigate Wicher launched on the Gulf of Gdańsk on 13 August 2026

On 13 August 2026, the frigate Wicher was ceremonially launched on the Gulf of Gdańsk, marking a new addition to the Polish Navy. The event coincided with Polish Armed Forces Day celebrations and the naval parade in Gdynia. The ceremony took place aboard the frigate ORP Gen. T. Kościuszko.
