Luigi Mangione pleads guilty to killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson

Luigi Mangione has pleaded guilty to federal stalking charges and admitted killing UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in New York in December 2024. His lawyers are seeking to have state charges dropped under New York's double jeopardy protections. Prosecutors plan to seek a life sentence when Mangione is sentenced in December.
