Poland's financial regulator calls for abolition of small payment institutions

Poland's Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) has asked the Finance Ministry to abolish small payment institutions, including fintech start-ups offering electronic wallets. The regulator believes such entities may be used to fund gambling or support Russia financially. The Finance Ministry said it will consider the proposal.
