Siemoniak plans law change to bar ex-politicians from heading Poland's anti-graft bureau

Interior Minister Tomasz Siemoniak announced a planned minor amendment to legislation that would bar former politicians from becoming head of Poland's Central Anti-Corruption Bureau (CBA). Siemoniak also revealed that during the PiS government, CBA officers received phone calls telling them to back off cases whenever a PiS politician was involved. He assured that no such political pressure on the services exists today.
