Trump asks Supreme Court to allow White House ballroom renovation to continue
The Trump administration has petitioned the US Supreme Court to allow renovation work on a White House ballroom to proceed. The administration argues that forcing the president to seek congressional approval "hat-in-hand" would be "dangerous." Lower courts had previously blocked the work.
