Hubble data shows star formation is slowing down in the Andromeda galaxy
A team led by the University of Washington used detailed Hubble Space Telescope surveys to study how star formation is declining in the Andromeda galaxy. The findings show a clear slowdown in the rate at which new stars are being born in our nearest large galactic neighbour. The research offers new insights into the evolution of spiral galaxies.
