Switzerland's Audrey Werro claimed gold in the women's 800m final at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham, setting a new championship record. Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson of Great Britain was beaten into a lower position on the podium. The result is one of the biggest upsets of this year's European Championships.
