Mexico approves Paramount–Warner Bros. merger, leaving only 12 US states' lawsuit as obstacle

Paramount announced Friday that Mexico's competition authority has approved its merger with Warner Bros. Discovery, bringing the total number of approving jurisdictions to 68, including the EU, China, Canada and Brazil. The only remaining obstacle is a lawsuit filed by attorneys general from 12 US states. The companies are hoping to close the deal once that legal challenge is resolved.
