California Senate advances 35–50% tax credit for film post-production work

California's state Senate advanced bill AB 2319, which would create a new 35–50% refundable tax credit for film and TV editing and VFX work. The Motion Picture Editors Guild backed the measure. Separately, a bill to fund commercial production in the state failed to pass.
