Vitamin D boosts complete response to chemotherapy in breast cancer patients

A Brazilian study found that women with breast cancer who received vitamin D during chemotherapy more often achieved a complete response to treatment than those given a placebo. Vitamin D is already known for its role in bone health and immune function. The findings still require confirmation in further clinical trials.
