France's top court backs assisted dying law, blocks teen social media ban
France's Constitutional Council upheld the country's assisted dying law but struck down a proposed ban on social media for under-18s, ruling it would infringe freedom of expression and require adults to prove their age in a disproportionate way. Both policies had been championed by President Emmanuel Macron, making the rulings a mixed outcome for him.
