Flood aid scandal in Lower Silesia: millions paid to firms unaffected by the disaster

An investigation by journalist Szymon Jadczak of Wirtualna Polska revealed that flood relief funds in Lower Silesia were paid out to entities that suffered no flood damage. The scandal led to the dismissal of the board and supervisory council of the Karkonoska Agency for Regional Development. The European Public Prosecutor's Office has taken over the case and opened a formal investigation.
