Apple trains its own AI model for China with Alibaba's help

Apple is reportedly training its own large language model for the Chinese market, doing so with assistance from Alibaba. The move marks a new strategy to bring Apple Intelligence features to customers in China, who cannot access the company's standard AI services. Previously Apple had relied on local partners for AI deployment in the country.
