Triple therapy completely clears HIV in newborn primates within days of exposure

Researchers found that a one-time combination of antiretroviral drugs, broadly neutralising antibodies and the experimental antibody leronlimab completely cleared HIV in newborn nonhuman primates treated within three days of exposure. None of the three therapies achieved this result alone. The finding raises hopes for a potential cure for neonatal HIV in humans.
