Apple's iCloud+ privacy tools leaked user data for over a year before patch

Apple's iCloud Private Relay, a paid feature designed to hide users' IP addresses by encrypting Safari traffic, was found to leak the very data it was meant to protect. About a month earlier, Hide My Email — another iCloud+ feature — was also reported to leak users' real email addresses. Apple issued patches in both cases, but only after the flaws became public, despite reportedly knowing about them for at least a year, raising serious questions about the company's privacy promises.
