Maximum petrol and diesel prices take effect Monday as government caps fuel margins

Starting Monday, maximum prices for petrol and diesel will apply at Polish fuel stations. The government wants to ensure that a VAT cut from 23% to 8% is passed on to consumers at the pump. Energy Minister Miłosz Motyka also announced work on a new windfall profits tax that could extend to gas companies.
