Virgin Galactic delays next commercial spaceflight to February 2027

Virgin Galactic has pushed its first commercial spaceflight back to February 2027, missing its previous late-2026 target. The suborbital tourism company has not flown since June 2024. CEO Michael Colglazier said during the Q2 earnings call that no single issue is to blame, but that hundreds of small avionics and systems installation tasks on the new spacecraft have each taken slightly longer than planned.
