Dozens treated in Berlin eye clinics after solar eclipse — most under 35
Dozens of people visited Berlin eye clinics with vision problems after watching a solar eclipse, according to German daily Der Tagesspiegel. The majority of patients were under 35 years old. Doctors warn that looking directly at the sun can cause retinal burns and, in the most serious cases, irreversible vision damage.
