Bottles bought in Germany or Czech Republic cannot be returned in Poland — deposit lost
Poland's deposit return system only accepts packaging purchased in Poland — bottles and cans bought in Germany, the Czech Republic or other EU countries must be returned in the country of purchase. Each EU member state runs its own separate deposit scheme, and containers are not interchangeable between systems. Travellers returning from abroad with empty bottles will not be able to reclaim their deposit in Poland.
