Polish cities buy second-hand German trams at a tenth of the cost of new ones

Polish cities are increasingly purchasing used trams from Germany, which cost a tenth of the price of a new vehicle. Wagons up to 30 years old are expected to remain in service on Polish tracks for another decade or more. The approach allows municipalities to expand their fleets on limited budgets.
