Świątek wins WTA 1000 Toronto title, beats Rybakina 6:2, 6:3 in final

Iga Świątek claimed the WTA 1000 title in Toronto, defeating second-seeded Jelena Rybakina 6:2, 6:3 in the final. It is her first WTA 1000 hard-court title of the season. Seeded seventh, Świątek admitted the season had been a bumpy road and spoke about what had frustrated her most along the way.
