Single focused-ultrasound session appears to break severe meth addiction
A woman with a severe methamphetamine addiction so advanced that brain surgery was being considered underwent a single noninvasive focused-ultrasound session. The treatment appeared to achieve what years of conventional therapy had failed to do. The technique requires no incision and could open new possibilities in addiction treatment.
