A study analysing data from nearly three million patients found that endometriosis carries serious health risks beyond the reproductive system. Researchers identified a new risk particularly significant for pre-menopausal women and those without obesity. The findings suggest endometriosis should be treated as a systemic disease, not purely a gynaecological condition.
