Blocking your PESEL number doesn't stop all fraud — expert warns

Blocking one's PESEL number is an important but insufficient safeguard against identity theft, according to Bartłomiej Drozd, an expert at ChronPESEL.pl. Criminals can still use stolen personal data to rent apartments, hire cars or purchase expensive equipment. Drozd advises using additional protective measures beyond simply blocking the PESEL number.
